Mr. Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ has held various management positions at Doğan Group since 1990. He merged the media companies of the Group under Doğan Yayın Holding (DYH, Doğan Publications and Broadcasting Holding) and assumed the office of Vice President in 1996. He was later appointed as President of the Executive Committee of DYH in 1999.
Yalçındağ led the Group through various foreign partnerships, mergers, ventures and investments. Besides his membership to WEF Media Managers, Yalçındağ is the Chairman of IAA (International Advertising Association) Turkey, Chairman of Turkish Advertising Council, a member of TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association) and TEGEV (Foundation for Technological Education & Training). Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Turkey-U.S. Business Council (TAİK) operating under the umbrella of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK). In March 2012, Yalçındağ became the Chairman of the Executive Board of Arvato in Turkey, a leading Bertelsmann company. In July 2012, he became the Chairman of the Executive Board of Yandex Turkey. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Yandex Turkey. In October 2015, Yalçındağ founded E-Glober which acquired the Turkish representation and rights of Alibaba, the largest internet platform worldwide. He continues his role as Chairman of the Executive Board at E-Glober. Yalçındağ became a partner of May Cyber Technology in October 2016 and took over management and control of the majority of the company’s shares in June 2017.
