Doing Business in the U.S. Conference, September 2018, River Plaza
Doing Business in the United States Conference, organized by the DEİK/Turkey-U.S. Business Council (TAİK) in cooperation with the European American Investment Council (EAIC) took place on September 20th, at River Plaza in Istanbul. The conference brought together numerous Turkish professionals interested in starting or expanding their businesses in the United States.
The conference began with a welcoming session led by TAİK Vice Chairwoman Ms. Çağlan Mursaloğlu, Commercial Officer at the U.S Consulate Mr. Philip Finiello, EAIC President and CEO Mr. Matthias Beier. Following the opening, EAIC Director Stefan Aengenheyster presented EAIC’s approach on doing business in the U.S.
The conference continued with a discussion panel and Q&A Sessions where Navigator Consulting’s Site Selection Expert Mr. Jim Blair, Gray Construction’s Mr. Werner Beermann, Rödl&Partner’s Tax Expert Dr. Ullrich Kämmerer and Smith Gambrell and Russell Mr. Florian Stamm shared their expertise on the topic.
The last session of the conference led by local senior officials; American Electric Power’s Expert Emily Tucker, Brunswick County’s Economic Development Expert Carthan Currin, Virginia Growth Alliance’s Jeffrey Reed and Longview County’s Wayne Mansfield, shared their knowledge about the opportunities.
