Our event, "A New Era in Turkish-American Relations," commenced with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Burak Akçapar and opening remarks by TAİK Chairman Murat Özyeğin.
In his speech addressing TAİK members, Chairman Murat Özyeğin provided information on the activities carried out since the beginning of the year and the plans for the new term, including updates on TAİK's state committee working groups.
Deputy Minister H.E. Burak Akçapar shared insights on recent developments in Turkey-U.S. relations and conveyed his assessments and expectations for the upcoming period with the TAİK family.
Following the opening session, a panel discussion was held evaluating the potential impacts of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Elections on Turkish-American relations. The panel featured Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Duran, General Coordinator of SETAV, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Kireçci, Dean at Ankara Social Sciences University, answering questions posed by our Deputy Secretary General Merih Kepez Örnek, who moderated the session.
