19th TRICON Türkiye's Economic Outlook and Investment Opportunities

On the first day of the 19th Türkiye Investment Conference, we held a “Türkiye’s Economic Outlook and Investment Opportunities Roundtable Meeting,” hosted by Citi, with the participation of H.E. Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance; Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye M. Fatih Karahan; DEİK President Nail Olpak; DEİK/Türkiye–U.S. Business Council (TAİK) Chairman Murat Özyeğin; Stephanie von Friedeburg, Global Head of Public Sector Banking at Citi; and representatives of leading U.S. investment firms.

The meeting focused on Türkiye’s medium- and long-term economic outlook beyond short-term and quarterly fluctuations, recent productivity gains and progress toward price stability, as well as the country’s growth objectives.

Discussions also addressed the role of fiscal discipline in the disinflation program and the outlook for public finances, alongside Türkiye’s strong production infrastructure, strategic geographic location, advanced transportation and logistics connectivity, and access to regional markets.

Participants discussed investment opportunities in high value-added sectors, particularly green and digital transformation, advanced manufacturing, defense and aerospace, healthcare and health tourism, logistics and transportation, and digital technologies.

The meeting also highlighted Türkiye’s advances in the defense industry and the opportunities for investors arising from Türkiye’s growing role in the global defense market and its cooperation with allies and partners.

In line with our $100 billion bilateral trade target between Türkiye and the United States, we aim to further increase bilateral trade and expand mutual investments, while creating new opportunities for cooperation across high value-added sectors.

We would like to thank the sponsors of the 19th Türkiye Investment Conference Borusan Holding, Çalık Holding, Fiba Holding, Kibar Holding, Koç Holding, Limak Holding, Sabancı Holding, Sahibinden, Turkish Airlines, and Türk Telekom for their valuable support and for contributing to new avenues of cooperation in Türkiye-U.S. economic relations.
