Tamer Saka | MEMBER

Born in 1973, Tamer Saka completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at the Istanbul University School of Business.

Having held the offices of the Manager and the Senior Manager in charge of Risk Management Consultancy services at the companies Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young, respectively, Tamer Saka joined the Sabancı Holding family in the year 2004 as the first Risk Management Director in the private sector, with the goal of effecting the creation of the Risk Management Directorate. He served at Willis London during 2010-2011 as the Managing Director in charge of the business development activities of approximately 20 countries, among which was Turkey.

Tamer Saka assumed the office of the Strategy and Business Development Coordinator of Kibar Holding as of 12th of December 2011, and held the office of the Automotive and Corporate Functions Group Head and a Member of Board at Kibar Holding as of May 2012. Assigned to the position of the CEO as of 10th of January 2014, Tamer Saka is still a Member of Board at Kibar Holding.

He held the offices of a Director of the Corporate Governance Association between 2007 - 2011, the President of the TÜSİAD Risk Management Working Group between 2009 - 2010, the Founding President of the Corporate Risk Management Association between 2009 - 2010; as well as represented Turkey in the Board of Directors of the Federation of European Risk Management Associations in the year 2010. Tamer Saka is also holding the office of Vice President of ATC (American-Turkish Council) to which he was assigned in the year 2016.
